General care
To care for your Garner and Tow waxed canvas bag, gently brush dirt or debris off with a soft brush or cloth. For stains, use a damp cloth with cold water. Avoid soap or detergents, as they can strip the wax coating. Allow the bag to air dry naturally and avoid heat sources like dryers or radiators.
Re-waxing
Wax may wear off over time. To restore the water resistance of your bags reapply a fabric wax designed for waxed materials.
- Rub in wax evenly onto the fabric with a cloth.
- Use a hairdryer or warm iron with parchment paper to help it absorb.
- Store the bag in a cool, dry place to prevent mildew, and avoid plastic bags.
Do not machine wash, dry clean, or iron directly without protection, as these methods can damage the wax coating.
